DRUG WAR DEBATE


Pros on the war:

. The people that are making the drugs know that they will get penalized.
. Decrease in crime, because drug addicts put in jail.
. Decrease the number of people using illegal drugs, therefore is becoming more discipline because of the consequences.
. It has strengthened police forces to get military training to be prepared.
. Military Industrial Profits
. Huge boon for prisons
. Funds CIA black ops

Who: President Richard Nixon
What: prohibition of drugs, military aid, and military intervention, with the stated aim being to reduce the illegal drug trade.
Where: America, the borders, Mexico 
When: 1971 and till today
Why: In 1971 President Richard Nixon declared war on drugs. He proclaimed, “America's public enemy number one in the United States is drug abuse, and Nixon wanted more money.
